CRUFTS 2009 was a poignant occasion for all those who knew Fio. The first time she had not been in attendance in over 30 years. Her presence I am sure was deeply missed. Before judging a minute silence was held in her honour. It was certainly very fitting that one of the top awards was awarded to a dog bred by Fio.

With great sadness we have to inform you all that our mother, Fiorenza Roberts passed away on February 23, 2009. We wish to thank all of you who sent us their condolences. Your generosity and support have been of great comfort to us. We were truly moved how highly you regarded Fio as a friend. She will be deeply missed by all.
